TOOLS FOR SUCCESS
At Janesville Business Challenge, our goal is to help you become a better entrepreneur, whether you win the prize or not. Once you submit your application, we have several resources available to help you.
In order to help contestants prepare for success, we are partnering with the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
In addition to the resources below, please do not hesitate to contact us for additional assistance and information.
The UWW College of Business and Economics’ Outreach Services Office strives to create a collaborative and entrepreneurial learning community dedicated to sharing values, knowledge, and skills to prepare current and future business professionals to contribute successfully and responsibly in a global business environment. Our goal is to facilitate, develop, and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders that lead to mutually beneficial opportunities for students, alumni, faculty/staff, entrepreneurs, businesses, and the regional community.
This office works with prospective and existing small businesses to help them grow and prosper. They assist businesses across Wisconsin with the technical, strategic, and practical parts of business startup and development.
UWW has agreed to participate in the Challenge by providing faculty, mentors and judges. UWW faculty led three seminars in June for contestants, focusing on writing a business plan, doing market research, and basic financial statements and accounting.
